Covers are the Souths leading family owned Timber and Builders Merchants with 16 Branches in Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey and Kent.


We are currently recruiting for an experienced Landscaping Sales Assistant to join our small team in our Landscaping Department at Quarry Lane, Chichester.


Based in the Landscaping Centre, you will become an integral part of a small and busy department dealing with sales enquiries over the telephone and at the Sales Counter.

You will be advising customers on our vast range of Landscaping products, negotiating prices and building relationships with customers.


You will represent the branch and assist with the growth of the business, working as a team to exceed sales targets.

You will ensure that the needs of the customers are dealt with quickly and efficiently whilst providing a service that ensures that customers return on a regular basis.


We are also looking for someone who is flexible as you will be required to help in other departments during our quieter periods.

This will include working on the counter / sales office in our Covers Trade Centre, Chichester dealing with general timber and building material sales enquiries.


You will ideally have a good knowledge of landscaping products and building materials and ideally possess a forklift licence, however full training will be given.

You must be sales driven, have excellent customer service skills together with a good telephone manner and the ability to work well within a team.


Hours of work are Monday to Friday from 07.30am to 17.00pm with a 30 minute break for lunch and 1 in 2 Saturdays from 08.00am to 12.00pm.

Experience:

Builders Merchants: 1 year (preferred)
