£35,000 - £40,000 per annum DOE
Our client is a world leading, manufacturing company based in Leamington Spa.
They specialise in heavy duty vehicles and are looking for a Technical Trainer / Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Continuous Improvement (CI) Supervisor, your role as the Technical Trainer / Coordinator will be to plan, develop, present, deliver, coach and review operational site training requirements.
Working closely with Health and Safety, Continuous Improvement, Human Resources and Operations, you will present & deliver training workshops, as well as creating and delivering your own material for an array of operations training workshops.
Departments for training include H&S, Production Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, General Operations and Shopfloor.
This role is a great opportunity for an intelligent and charismatic individual from either a Continuous Improvement or H&S background, that is happy delivering engaging, training workshops to all levels of staff.
Technical Trainer / Coordinator - Role & Responsibilities:
- Assessing staff and department performance to identify skill gaps,
- Creating and updating training programmes for new and existing employees,
- Preparing presentations, handouts, and learning materials,
- Delivering training and responding to questions,
- Support in the onboarding of new staff,
- Conducting feedback surveys,
- Researching new teaching methods,
- Conducting Kaizen Workshop events,
- Coaching and mentoring operations staff for learning and development purposes,
- Creating and auditing operations area skills matrix,
- Liaising & auditing on the job competent persons, skills matrix & processes,
- Complete safety tours, waste walks, 5S audits, TPM audits and quality audits.
Technical Trainer / Coordinator - Key Skills Required:
- Experience in the Automotive Industry either for an OEM or first tier supplier would be ideal,
- Experience working within a heavy good manufacturing environment would also be suitable,
- Experience delivering training to all levels of employees (train the trainer),
- Have a solid awareness of HS&E (Health, Safety and Environmental) requirements within a production environment,
- Six Sigma Certified
- Green/Black belt,
- Able to work on own initiative with mínimal supervision,
- A commitment to continuous improvement,
- Knowledge and understanding of CI/Lean methodologies (5S, TPM, Kaizen, process improvement),
- Experience in using problem solving methodologies (such as 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa),
- Excellent PC skills
- PowerPoint, Office, Excel & Word.
