Introduction:

This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week required onsite as well as client site visits when required, but the rest of the work can be done from home.

My client is a Defence consultancy who are looking for a Requirements Engineer to work on a safety-critical military satellite.

This satellite will allow members of the Armed Forces to communicate more effectively and quickly in notoriously challenging terrain, such as built-up cities, mountains and jungles.

You will be working with senior members of the engineering team to ensure that system and sub-system requirements are being managed.

Key responsibilities:

Working with the Engineering leads and design team to manage system and subsystem requirements.
Manage requirements traceability activities and documentation.
Lead Validation, Verification, Test and Acceptance activities.
Lead in the definition of activities in response to customer change.
Participate in the development, building, testing, and trialling of solutions.
Contribute to the creation of highquality project documentation.

Skills & experience:

An experienced senior engineer with a proven track record of requirements management, validation, and verification activities.
Have a proven track record of delivering systems into the UK MoD, working with MoD requirements sets.
An expert in IBM DOORs.
Work collaboratively with the product and functional specialisms to deliver a cohesive solution for the customer.
An understanding of technical and project risks and can understand how these need to be managed.
