We are holding Health Care Assistant (Band 2) interviews, for both hospital sites:
Queens Hospital & King George Hospital

Have excellent communication skills, good writing skills and good understanding of the English language, and be able to provide a high standard of care to our patients.
Be able to work independently, as well as an integral part of our team.

You will ensure the delivery of an effective and competent level of care under the instruction of Registered Nurses.

You will be able to assist with patient hygiene needs, helping patients meet their nutritional requirements and all other patient needs that arise.

The post involves shift work, consisting of long days, night duties, weekends and bank holidays

Assist in the provision of quality care for all patients, under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Assist at all times to make the clinical area a quality area of care within the Trust.
Assist in the checking of patients details held on the patient administration system.

Record vital signs if requested to do so by registered nurse/doctor.

Assist the doctor/nurse with a sterile procedure if requested to do so.

Assist in the clerical duties and certain other mutually agreed duties to maintain the smooth running of the day unit.

To perform venepuncture and ECG as required after appropriate training.
