Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting this well-established firm of chartered accountants based in London, that are now keen to appoint a highly skilled and ambitious Audit professional at any level between senior and manager to complement the existing team.
- Managing all aspects of their allocated client portfolio including planning, execution and completion, drafting correspondence and billing.
- Overseeing company accounts preparation under FRS 102, FRS 102 (1A) and FRS 105 including planning work, delegating tasks and allocating appropriate resources to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner and to a high standard reviewing work and giving feedback to junior staff.
- Preparing consolidated group accounts, including investments in subsidiaries and associates and changes in noncontrolling interests.
- Preparing and submitting corporation tax returns, including consideration of complex tax matters where relevant.
- From time to time, undertaking financial and tax due diligence projects writing complex reports and liaising with lawyers.
- Delivering training to colleagues including onthejob coaching to more junior staff through client assignments, delivering internal presentations on audit and accounting standards or relevant corporate tax issues contributing to internal training manuals on audit procedures acting as a point contact for audit, accounting and corporate tax queries.
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients in the portfolio and corresponding with them in the most appropriate way.
- Dealing with the HMRC, investment managers, lawyers and other third parties.

- Preferably ACA or ACCA qualified (ideally with first time passes) and a good academic record, 3 years+ post qualification.
- A strong general audit and accountancy background, including corporate tax.
- Effective client handling/service skills.
- Able to take responsibility and 'own' assignments and use initiative and flair.
- Experienced in coaching and delegating to staff and able to organise and review the work of junior staff.
