Student Services are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated International Student Coordinator to join our Student Engagement Team to work alongside international students across a range of programmes.

The post is full time and permanent and is to provide support at critical points in the academic year, namely the co-ordination and joint delivery of induction events for new student intakes throughout September, January and April.

It will also involve event management of in-year, face-to-face and online events for new and returning students, linking with local communities and events to enable a rewarding and fully integrated student experience.

As a designated point of contact for all non-UK students, you will be working with various teams to support students' preparation and transition into university life, UK study and cultural integration.

With previous experience of working with international students, ideally within an educational or support setting, you will have an awareness of the student life cycle and good understanding of their specific needs at key points, including the wide range of specialist support and services available to them.

Working closely with the Student Engagement Co-ordinators, other professional services and academic departments, you will ensure students at risk of disengagement are identified early on and supported to enable student success and a positive student experience.

You will also be involved with updating online content for students, co-developing this wherever possible with students, in line with the ethos of the Directorate.

In addition, you will provide support for current students, encouraging them to access the wide range of support and services available to them, including liaison and signposting to other professional services and academic departments.

You will be confident in delivering or facilitating group presentations and events both online and in person.

Your main base will be at our Lancaster campus with occasional paid travel to our Ambleside and Carlisle campuses. Hybrid working possible during quieter periods based on business need.

The post is full time and permanent; Monday to Friday 9-5, with some flexibility as needed to meet the needs of our diverse learners.

We offer a comprehensive set of staff benefits which includes a competitive salary, 35 hour working week,
33 days holiday plus bank holidays,
hybrid working in line with business need, excellent
pension scheme with
8% employer contribution.
