Description
Location - Yorkshire (Midlands or Northwest). Any where considered where the clients services area.

Hybrid working will also be considered with flexible options.

Job Type - Can be extensive 2 year fixed term, or offered permanent.

Salary £55,000 Per Annum


Purpose of the Role:


The Head of Data Insights and Intelligence is responsible for the strategic development and delivery of data systems and performance reporting across all services and departments.

This key role will support Compass to have a strategy driven approach for data, to analyse our performance and then to use this intelligence to become better at what we do.


The role will strategically lead a team of analysts and technicians in co-developing and delivering a suite of comprehensive and accurate performance dashboards for Board, Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and service/departmental leads.

Development and review of existing data and information systems across operations and HR is required to optimise data collection and reporting ensuring efficient service delivery, quality assurance including compliance with contractual requirements, and driving continuous improvement.


Outline of the Post:

The post holder will be expected to:
Strategic & Leadership

  • Partner with and support the organisation in developing data strategy and policy, performance improvement and access to business and data intelligence.
  • Inform, stimulate, challenge and help strategic leads to develop effective strategies as well as analyse, understand and improve performance.
  • Shape the transformation of how Compass collates, analyses, and uses data to inform and improve performance including engaging and influencing staff at all levels.
  • Understand the external environment through horizon scanning incorporating into data strategy and business development strategy.
  • Provide technical leadership in the effective use of information and data to develop strategy, policy and performance improvement.
  • Lead and manage the change process including the bringing together of staff undertaking data and performance functions across Compass to ensure consistency and alignment.
  • Lead the Data Insights and Intelligence Team setting clear goals/ performance standards for their team in line with critical business objectives; creating an inclusive, high performing culture where colleagues are invested, engaged and can hone skills, develop, and thrive.
  • Lead the thematic data working groups.
