Senior Research Analyst - London/hybrid working

£75,000 to £90,000 salary, plus benefits


My client is an Investment Management firm who offer discretionary and model portfolio managed services to their private clients across the UK.

They are looking for a Senior Research Analyst to provide recommendations and commentary on a range of UK andInternational equities and funds lists for inclusion in discretionary portfolios.

The role will involve dealing with and providing a service to the firm's Investment Managers, answering queries and ensuring that the firm's databases remain up to date and accurate.


Main Tasks
- to maintain and develop the Discretionary Portfolio Management Buy, Hold and Sell lists of funds and direct equities by researching existing and generating new ideas, and to provide support to the Investment Managers across our clients offices
- to assist with our clients Sustainable and ESG research processes
- to support the maintenance and development of the investment process across the discretionary portfolios
- to maintain fund rationales
- to ensure that portfolios hold the most appropriate share/unit classes, including assisting with the onboarding of new clients and portfolios
- to participate in the Morning Meetings as required and to provide written copy for the daily investment commentaries
- to attend and participate in the Asset Allocation Committee
- to present at roadshows and other seminars as required
- to produce thematic research articles
- to maintain and produce performance analysis on recommended equity portfolios to keep up to date with market & investment information and maintain a working knowledge of relevant professional developments, ensuring that these are acted upon in the clients',investors and the Company's interests


Experience and competencies

  • Significant experience in the investment industry, in both Fund Management and UK and International equities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. The ability to be able to communicate in a friendly, professional and articulate manner is essential
  • You will have experience and a good knowledge of both open and closedended funds, as well as passive solutions

Qualifications

  • CFA Level 2 or equivalent
  • Educated to degree level
