If you require hours of more than 24 hours per week, including full-time roles (37.5 hours), we may be able to accommodate you, if you are happy to work more weekend hours (this may mean working every weekend and taking days off during the week)

This job and training is office based in Ipswich.

We are offering part and full time, classroom-based Pathway and adastra training. The full-time programme runs over a five week period, whilst the part-time training runs over a seven week period.

The training is paid at £11.48 per hour. Attending every training day is
essential.


Upon completion, you will receive a further eight weeks' support before you are signed off as a fully accredited/licensed Pathways Health Advisor.

Our next available training dates are
:Saturday 4th May (part time) and Monday 6th May (full time)

What you'll be doing
As a member of the Integrated Urgent Care team (IUC), you will be first point of contact for members of the public with a 24 hour urgent but non-emergency health concern, you will be providing advice and signposting assistance to onward care utilising the NHS Pathways triage system,

Following assessment, our health advisors can: - If they are well, advice and support on accessing local services such as general practice, dentists, pharmacies and other healthcare services;

  • If they have a query about their medication, immediate support from a pharmacist, or
  • If they are unwell or calling on behalf of a child or someone they care for who is unwell, over thephone assessment, identification of the most appropriate care for the issue and, as appropriate, advice for managing the condition at home. Transfer calls to our clinical assessment service which is on hand 24/7 to provide expert advice, assessment and support, preventing the need for patients to make further calls.

The training has three components:

  • Foundation training (four weeks broken down into two core modules*).
  • Audit, coaching and probation period (minimum of six weeks) followed by a one day sign off course.
  • On-going audit, development and update training.
*Core module 1 is an intensive program that requires regular evaluation, to ensure you are progressing seamlessly.

*Core module 2 consists of a case study and some practical scenarios.

You will need to achieve a score of at least 70% in order to pass.
