Assistant / Part-qualified Accountant (Full Time)
Abingdon, Oxfordshire

£30,000 - £40,000 (dependent upon experience) + study support + hybrid working

Wade Macdonald is currently recruiting a part-qualified accountant for a rapidly growing outsourced business services company based in Abingdon.

The role would suit someone who is actively studying and will focus on developing strong relationships with aportfolio of clients and taking ownership of efficient an accurate client related work.


You will work within a team of both qualified and part qualified accountants performing a variety of tasks dependant on your experience.

For any accountants who are actively progressing through the professional qualifications we will provide tuition supportas well as mentorship to actively support you to achieve your goals.


Responsibilities:


  • You will be responsible for a portfolio of clients where you will take ownership of deliverable including the completion of monthly client management accounts comprising of preparing, processing, and recording bank transactions, processing purchase, salesand general ledger entries
  • Reconciliation of the balance sheet items
  • Preparation of relevant tax filings such as VAT returns, corporation tax returns and P11Ds
  • You will be able to undertake a detailed review of the accounting output of junior staff
  • Point of contact for the clients on their daytoday affairs
  • Preparing detailed/consolidated financial statements in accordance with the appropriate accounting standards
  • Vat returns

Skills Required:


  • You will be part qualified (actively studying towards an accounting qualification)
  • Knowledge of basic accountancy work is preferable but not essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively (written & oral at all levels.
