Synnovis currently have an exciting opportunity available to work as a Quality Officer within our modern facility at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH), just 20 minutes South of London.

We are a very busy, progressive department, and continually strive to provide an efficient and quality driven service to our Bromley GP population and Out-Patients across Orpington and Beckenham Beacon hospitals, and to Acute Care patients on the PRUH site.

This is an exciting opportunity, for a proactive, motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our team at the PRUH.

You should have experience in laboratory quality management and a quality qualification would be beneficial

As the Quality officer you will also be responsible for ensuring that the requirements for, ISO 15189(UKAS), CQC and any other external assessment and regulatory bodies are met, e.g.

MHRA, SQAS and maintained at the PRUH.

You will have a suite of learning opportunities available through The Synnovis Way Development programme, the Scientific Learning and Development Fund and the Synnovis Academy through which you can receive funding / support for advanced qualifications.

Will be responsible for training and educating all staff in aspects of audit, quality principles and practice, including the preparation for quality inspections, and to participate in other training activities such as staff induction.

Support management in establishing, improving and operating the system for document control and ensure all users are suitably trained and familiar with document control procedures, and to ensure full compliance with those procedures.

Will take an active role within the department and work closely with Quality Managers within Synnovis in relevant discussions pertaining to service improvement and developmental changes.

You will also contribute in compiling and maintaining an up-to-date service quality manual which meets all local, national and international guidelines.

Synnovis is a pathology partnership between SYNLAB UK and Ireland, and the NHS, including sites, Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, to deliver and transform pathology services across South East London.

The partnership provides services to 1.7 million people living in South East London, as well as to hundreds of thousands of patients from outside the region who use local healthcare services.

The partnership provides diagnostics, testing and digital pathology for hospital trusts, GP services and other healthcare providers.

Princess Royal University Hospital is a District General Hospital, which proudly provides quality care to patients within the boroughs of Bromley and Bexley as well as Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham.

Orpington is located within South East London with a great range of shops, markets and a place where various sports can be enjoyed.
