Description

Working within Green Park Special School as a Community Children's Nurse, you will be expected to provide high quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care needs within the school setting for the patient group.

The post holder is expected to provide relevant forms of care without direct supervision and participate in the supervision and teaching of untrained staff and students.

To play an active part in the continuing development of the ward or department and actively contribute to the maintenance of an environment conducive to the delivery of high standards of patient care by promoting good communication and relationships between staff, patients, relatives and visitors.

Provide advice and participate in Health Promotion Programmes where appropriate.

The post holder, with awareness of the multiple needs of the patients and their families, will provide skilled children's nursing care and promote the optimum level of independence and the quality of life for all children within the caseloadThe post holder will be expected to facilitate the access of children who have disabilities/complex needs to enable children to attend educational led activities with their peers.
