A fantastic opporunity for an experienced Plant / Logisitics coordinator to work on the HS2 project - one of the most innovative construction projects in Europe.


You will manage the day to day plant administrative duties at a critical part of HS- all plant internal/external and assist with the processing of site requests from all the sites.

The Plant / Logistics coordinator will lead the Plant Administrators with the processing of all requests & queries.


Duties for the Plant / Logistics Coordinator include

  • Assisting with obtaining quotations from suppliers for plant and equipment
  • Gathering the weekly plant inspection forms
  • Assisting with any other administrative duties regarding the plant and equipment
  • Ensuring that cost reporting is accurate and fed back to Site Support
  • Ensuring that Plant records are kept up to date and site allocation reporting is complete
  • Ensuring that all Plant arriving to site and leaving site is receipting in the correct manner in an efficient time to reflect accurate costs
  • Be the main point of contact for the selected projects ensuring ownership of the endtoend process
  • Work with Finance Department to help with record keeping accuracy and supporting information to provide to the client
  • Support the Plant Controller with the Mobilisation and Demobilisation of sites
As a Plant / Logistics Coordinator
you will need to be able to demonstrate

  • A clear focus on quality
  • Knowledge of plant / asset hire / logistics industry ideally from a construction background
  • Clear drive and ambition
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with people at all levels across the organisation and externally
  • Ability to communicate and engage with site personnel and develop good working relationships
  • Ability to prioritise work and activities
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety
  • Experience in delivering best practices in plant and equipment safely

The following qualities/experience are desirable:


  • Strong computer skills focused on Excel / Word / PowerPoint and ideally and ideally conversant with other software, e.g. MS Project.
Experience with plant management software e.g. Insphire or MCS


As a Plant / Logistics coordinator you will be given the opportunity to develop not only your technical skills but also your management and team leading skills.

Salary:
£27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
