We have an exciting opportunity to join our fantastic Environment Programme team in Yorkshire delivering environmental outcomes, working in partnership and with internal EA teams.

The team is co-located across four offices in Yorkshire and some travel is required. Current ways of working mean some home working will be required.

As responding to incidents is a central part of what we do, you will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident.

This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.


  • The team
  • The Yorkshire Area Environment Programme deliver a variety of environmental projects working in partnership. The team is a high performing team reporting to the Environment Programme Managers, focussing on integrated outcomes to deliver multiple benefits for the environment using the most efficient and costeffective ways of working. The team relies on developing strong internal and external partnerships to deliver results.


  • Experience/skills required

  • Through experience to date you will ideally be able to demonstrate some of the following:
  • Managed the delivery of projects/programmes and work on time and on budget by planning, tracking, and overseeing tasks.
  • An appreciation of environmental policies (including Water Framework Directive, 25 Year Environment Plan)
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team to make decisions and achieve planned outcomes
  • Good organisational skills and an ability to use MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills are a must as you'll be working with a diverse range of people
  • As an entry level grade we welcome all backgrounds, preferably in an interest in environment, geography or science discipline.
