We are on the lookout for an Administrator to play a major role in our client's ongoing deployment of collaborative cloud services.
Please ensure you have the following skills / experience before applying:
- Strong scripting and automation using tools such as PowerShell.
As a member of the Business Systems team, the role holder will work with key business stakeholder to understand business needs, deploy and maintain appropriate technologies whilst ensuring data governance is applied to cloud-hosted data.
The role holder should strengthen current IT practices, maintain a culture of sharing and be keen to develop new technical skills.
The role requires a significant understanding of SharePoint (On-prem and Online) and Microsoft 365 technologies such as Teams and OneDrive, PowerPlatform, cloud security and data governance.
Your Day to Day
Within the IT department, you will work on key business and departmental projects, engage with our userbase and interact with Engineering teams to deliver secure, supportable and scalable IT solutions.
The activities you will be responsible for include:
- Define technology roadmaps for online collaborative services and the transition to them.
- Working with other members of the team to gather user requirements.
- Administration, support and configuration of the onpremise SharePoint environment through the remainder of its lifecycle.
- Review and enhancement of the Microsoft 365 deployment.
- Develop training materials on user facing Microsoft 365 components.
- Keeping up to date with the Microsoft 365 roadmap.
- Administrating Microsoft 365 components.
- Working alongside other members of the team on various IT projects
- Contribute to the IT enhancement backlog.
- Implement enhancement to existing technologies.
- Provide businessasusual / breakfix support for solutions deployed within the company, ensuring that requests logged via the Service Desk platform are completed based on impact and priority.
- Contribute to root cause analysis activities.
- Proactively communicate the status, plan of action(s), and resolution(s) of issues.
- Create, review and maintain system documentation.
- Strong teamworking and provision of guidance/support to junior team members.
You will also gain experience of complementary collaborative technologies such as PowerApps/PowerAutomate and exposure to our data warehousingand reporting technologies (Power BI).
The successful applicant will have a full, clean driving licence and their own car. Travel expenses will be paid.Responsibilities
Qualifications
- A Level/HND Qualification
- Certification or equivalent course attendance for Microsoft 365 technologies.
Experience and Skills
- A Minimal four years' experience in IT role.
- Strong scripting and automation using tools such as PowerShell.
- Management of SharePoint site collection functions, search configuration and supporting the Site Owner and teams
- SharePoint Online, Teams and OneDrive Administration
- Experience of SharePoint provisioning and migration tools
- Microsoft 365 Governance and Security experience
- Experience of complementary collaborative tools such as Planner, Forms and Stream
- Knowledge of PowerAutomate and PowerApps
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Managing a wide range of projects from small SharePoint site designs to complete migration projects
- Preparation of plans, statements of works, work packages for both internal and external parties
- Ability to work with and train users, producing training material to allow for future selfhelp
- Gather and understand requirements to work with the business teams to provide solutions to business challenges
- Work within the IT teams to identify problems and provide structured solutions
- Any exposure to data warehousing and reporting technologies advantageous
- Understanding of Industry trends and emerging threats
- Experience of interpreting business needs from end users
- Practical exposure to data governance approaches and technologies
