Today, we sit on the cusp of our move to cloud computing; we will use the growth in storage and compute power to drive value from big data - be it streaming, unstructured or just very large As we on-board a new suite of tooling we will upskill and drive value from an exciting new range of use cases, upscaling our artificial intelligence (in particular machine learning) offering.


What you'll do


As one of our Heads of Data Science, you would hold a significant and strategic role, leading a business-facing Product Team across the Insight & Innovation and Data & Automation departments.

You will work closely with the business to understand business priorities and constraints, championing analytics innovation.

From here, you will use your expertise to build a strategy, ensuring the best use of data and analytics talent, and techniques, and maximise value creation.

Working closely with IAG Tech, you will support with business knowledge and guide on business priorities.


With your team's services in heavy demand, you will need to ruthlessly prioritise the work your team does, whilst remaining adaptable to changing demands from the business.

In this high-profile role, you will form productive stakeholder relationships up to MC level, advising on the best approaches to resolve complex issues.


You will nurture a team of highly skilled professionals and play a key role in their engagement and career development, ensuring their continued growth.

You will pioneer innovative approaches, such as agile, and support your team through change.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Proactive Business Partnering with senior managers, up to MC level, to champion our services, understand business priorities and set and enact portfolio strategies.
  • Designing and owning a portfolio of crucial data and data science projects, including automations, business modelling and data visualisation work.
  • Collaborating across the Insight & Innovation and Data & Automation teams to support your peers and other colleagues, flexing resource, sharing knowledge and breaking down silos as needed.
  • Leading a team of professionals, providing technical guidance and expertise whilst ensuring continual growth and development
