Team Manager - Tameside MBC, Greater Manchester - Cared for Children Service - Up to £40ph

  • We are looking to recruit a team manager into the cared for children service. The cared for children service has 3 individual teams and you will manage one of the teams made up of 6 social workers and a practice manager. You and your team will be part ofa duty rota on a 3 weekly rolling basis with the other 3 teams. We have a hybrid model of working and you will be expected to be office based on the week that you are on duty.
  • You will have experience of working with care experienced young people and have a good working knowledge of the regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to cared for children.
  • You will have good management skills, experience of providing monthly, good quality, supervision to social workers. You will have good time management skills and be able to be flexible given the nature of the work we do.
  • You will be based at the Denton Centre in Denton, Tameside. There are free car parking facilities at this venue.
  • Core working hours are: Monday-Wednesday 8.305pm; Thursday pm & Friday 8.304pm.
  • You will receive regular supervision and management support from the service unit manager.
  • You will be joining a relatively stable team with good peer support within the management group.
  • Caseloads currently range from cases per social worker dependent upon experience.
