Care Worker Newhaven

An opportunity has arisen to join a small team providing care and support for a 93-year-old lady in her home in Newhaven.

Various shifts available especially Friday's and weekends, flexibility is essential and an ability to cover any holidays or sickness.

5.6 weeks annual leave per annum pro rata

Responsibilities:

Support with all aspects of personal care including washing, dressing and toileting
Must be able to administer medication and record accurately on MAR charts
Provide support with nutrition and hydration to include meal preparation
To provide support with mental stimulation and create a calm and relaxed atmosphere
Light housework including changing and washing the bed every day
Must have an Enhanced DBS check and attend all training required for the role

Essential:
- experienced in dementia care
- the ability and confidence to work alone and as part of a team
- patience and a sense of humour
