Service Manager - Adoption Agency - National Charity - Hybrid working

We are looking to recruit a Service Manager for a Charity's adoption agency in Newham.

This service is in need of a strong leader that has strong commitment towards a therapeutic approach, trauma informed knowledge and way of working.

The service improves lives of people who are feeling unsettled and neglected by discovering the records ofthe past, birth family history, tracing information from the past to find valuable answers for former service users.

The focus is on now-adults clientele group, people who were once service users in residential homes, foster care, schools, adoptive families.


The team will facilitate access to records and work with different agencies as Regional adoption agencies, Solicitors and the Police.

Thus strong knowledge around relevant legislation and recognised good practice is required.

The work with adoptive adults is a statutory service that operates as the charity's adoption agency. We are looking for a passionate creative manager that will take this Family History service forward and beyond.

Requirements:


  • Professional Level 4 qualification related to working with children or Social Work degree dpSW
- at least 2 years experience relevant to adoption

  • Leadership skills, Anti-Discriminatory Practice, promoting tolerance, equality and diversity and challenge any discriminatory behaviours
