We are working with an amazing charity based in Doncaster who is looking to appoint a Head of Operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a charity that makes huge and positive impact to children's lives.


If you have a proven track record in operations, leadership and people management and would like to work as part of an ambitious, energetic, and motivated team who thrive on improving mental health, physical wellbeing and aspirations of young people thisrole could be for you.

Active Fusion are looking for someone to lead their team to manage their portfolio of programmes.

Working alongside the Director and Head of Development you will contribute to policy and practice development, financial planning and strategic management ofall of the charities services.

Operations management and leadership

  • Leadership and direct line management of key team members.
  • Oversee the strategic development and delivery of programmes.
  • Responsibility for improved process implementation to ensure greater efficiency/accountability and supporting the development needs of staff.
  • Support wider charitable activities including fundraising, marketing and networking.
  • Financial management
  • Maintaining appropriate financial records and ensuring all reporting obligations are complied with.
  • Regular reporting and production of service/programme financial data.
  • Supporting HOD and Finance Manager with compliance in relation to fundraising processes, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Data management & GDPR
  • Collate and submit statistics and reports and review effective processes.
  • Work with the team to review, evaluate and improve the organisation's system for encouraging and receiving monitoring and feedback from clients.
  • Lead the monitoring/auditing of contracts with budget providers.
  • Lead on compliance for General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Strategic input

  • Support the development, planning and implementation of the Active Fusion Business Strategy and associated implementation plans.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the operational strategies.
  • Research and identify prospective partnerships in order to meet financial targets and achieve Active Fusion's long term strategic aims.

Facilities and systems management

  • Lead the maintenance of the office, including meeting all necessary Health and Safety requirements.
  • Lead on development, implementation and maintenance of the organisations IT systems, software and databases.
  • Provide IT systems support to colleagues.

Governance

  • Provide data and information to support the SLT and the Board in monitoring and tracking delivery against KPI's outlined in key governance and operational plans.
  • Lead on the risk register and the business contingency plan.
  • Lead on the review, writing and updating of core organisational policies, in collaboration with the SLT.
