Contract to start until with a possible extension.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To provide administrative support to the Flying Start Team
To assist the Business Support Manager in undertaking necessary administrative duties as required by the team.
To support the Childcare Manager and Childcare Liaison Officer with the administration tasks relating to the 2 year old childcare offer
To provide a telephone and office reception service, recording messages and referring on as appropriate.
To maintain relevant manual and electronic record systems
To produce statutory document, forms, reports and letters using word processing skills.
To open, date stamp, sort incoming mail.
To maintain booking diaries/inventories for equipment, rooms, resources etc.
To operate and maintain relevant office equipment.
To participate in relevant team events, training etc as required.
To participate in supervision sessions and annual appraisals with the Business Support Manager
To provide a flexible approach to work, working from other client sites to ensure the service is maintained
Ensure compliance with the Client's Financial Regulations, Standing Orders, Policies and Procedures
To implement the principles of the Client's Equal Opportunity Policy whilst carrying out the above duties
To implement the principles of the Client's Environment Policy while carrying out the above duties.
To report without delay any safeguarding concerns to the appropriate safeguarding officer.
Such other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grade and in accordance with the general character of the job as may reasonably be required by the Chief Officer from time to time.
Person Specification
Experience of office and administration/reception duties
Maintaining filing systems and documentation relating to a building
Experience of using electronic data storage systems.
Knowledge of IT packages including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
Ability to maintain accurate records
Ability to work using own initiative and as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Effective communicator in verbal and written form to service users and professionals

£10.98 per hour
