WHAT TO EXPECT


This fantastic opportunity is responsible for shaping JLR's future Digital capability and strategy in partnership with enterprise Domains, Digital Transformation Office, Innovation and Strategic Partnership.

It will lead the formation, communication, execution and iteration of digital strategy by ensuring the relevant people, tools, processes, technology and culture are in place in order to deliver leading Digital capabilities.

This role is cross-functional and, therefore, the responsibilities are broken down into the following:


Digital Strategy Formulation:


You will be expected to support the development of the digital vision and strategy that is aligned to business strategy and analyse digital trends and provide strategic principles and recommendations in strategy components.

As well as this, you can expect to be required to work with Digital and business key stakeholders to embed new digital capabilities in strategy and promote thought leadership and strategic thinking in Digital for enterprise digital transformation.


Digital Strategy Communication:

You will be required to drive digital strategy awareness across the business by defining pragmatic communication strategy.

We are looking for an individual who works collaboratively to involve the larger employee base in strategic planning but is also able to demonstrate their ability to identify risk and come up with variable solutions to mitigate the impact of risk.


Digital Strategy Execution & Iteration:


As a lead within the Digital space, you will be expected to pilot the digital strategy in specific projects and initiatives across business functions to assess the level of strategy maturity.

You can expect to take on some leadership projects such as supporting the management of the link between Digital Strategy and JLR internal and external digital teams.


Based on your research, you will collate lessons learned from the business in digital strategy execution to optimise digital strategy and be constantly look into external benchmarks and best practice so strategic plans can quickly adapt to changing market requirements and technologies.


WHAT YOU-LL NEED


To fulfil this role, you will need to be able to support Group CIO in strategic discussions and presentations with internal and external parties, support on collaboration with external business and academia on digital strategy as well as undertaking any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Knowledge of a broad range of business administration, a strategic thinker
  • Proven track record of delivering actionable insights from research activities.
  • Knowledge of forecasting, modelling, and scenario development tools and techniques
  • Excellent interpersonal/ communication skills and ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
  • Excellent collaborator who is able to bring cross functional teams together to create the optimal outcome.
  • The ability to learn quickly and progress rapidly from theoretical exercises to real world delivery.
