About The Role


We have an excellent opportunity to join our water treatment team in Reading as Continuous Improvement Lead, as the Continuous Improvement lead within Cost Transformation, your role will be responsible for the ongoing improvement of business processes to help deliver our efficiency targets.

You will work with a wide range of stakeholders to identify problems and implement changes to reduce cost and improve service outcomes.


This is an exciting opportunity where you will be working very closely with operational teams, fixing real problems that us and our 15.3 million customers face every day.

You will also be a virtual leader of projects and have an impact on the way we operate as a business.


What does the role involve?

  • Identifying opportunities for costsaving and efficiency within Operations
  • Analysing data to quantify opportunities and build business cases for change
  • Facilitating issue identification & resolution workshops with stakeholder groups
  • Working with Operations management to embed process changes
  • Training and coaching and monitoring of changes into frontline teams
  • Attending regional performance meetings & building relationships across business units

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous change management experience with experience in the implementation of cost-reduction business change and initiatives.
  • Ideal but not necessarily, you will be trained in LEAN and/or Six Sigma (or similar change methodology).
  • Excellent planning skills and selfmanagement capability; experience of executing strategic plans and experience of working across different disciplines and business segments.
  • Experience of projectrelated problem solving within a complex business environment agile deliver would be an advantage.
  • Proven ability to get results and deliver change in a complex environment
  • Experience in Coaching and Mentoring and a high degree of emotional resilience and intelligence.
  • Desirably, you will have a network of key Change professionals to leverage and share knowledge, consultancy, facilitation and Commercial awareness.
  • Previous experience of change management and/or business readiness experience and proven experience of delivering sustainable change including people change projects.
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to drive analysis, reporting and insights to contribute to making informed business decisions
  • Proven experience working with large teams to realise benefits and sustain change and strong leadership skills with experience of working with a strong unionised environment.
