Description
This role reports directly to the Multimedia Content Officer. Its main purpose is to
develop engaging and informative video content for use on the University's
external-facing website and a variety of digital and social media channels including
online events working with a number of stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

and Accountabilities:


  • Produce and edit film content using industrystandard digital video, audio,
lighting equipment, and software.

  • Work across the University with internal stakeholders, to understand their
need for online video content by taking briefs and proposing and
visualising creative film making solutions.

  • Maintain a video schedule ensuring appropriate prioritisation in line with
the marketing strategy

  • Produce videos and edit materials for online events
  • Film and edit webcasts
  • Responsible for scheduling, directing, location setting, lighting, sound and
editing video web content for use on a variety of promotional digital
channels.

to include within video content and ensuring appropriate legal documents
are in place e.g. waivers.

  • Work with the Digital Content Manager and team to proactively identify
organisational video content requirements.

  • Participate in integrated campaign meetings offering expertise on video
solutions for marketing purposes

  • Play an active role in shaping the requirements, creating and editing videos
required for online events such as open days

  • Ensure video shoot locations have proper consent and risk assessments
  • Work directly with faculties to understand how to translate their offer to
video which can be showcased effectively for marketing purposes

  • Maximise the impact of video content online via Social Media, search engine
optimisation and other appropriate channels.

  • Work on the growth of the University's video podcast
  • Analysing and evaluating the success of video content and using this to
influence future work working alongside the Digital Marketing Officer

  • Support the Digital Content team by assisting with the shared mailbox
requests and website amends where required.

  • Undertake and support staff development as appropriate
  • All staff across the Service are required to be flexible to support the focus
on student recruitment

Circumstances:

Occasional UK travel, unsociable hours and weekend work may be required.

  • Educated to Degree or equivalent, or possess significant relevant
professional experience within a similar role.

  • Proven ability to verbally communicate efficiently and effectively with a
- wide variety of stakeholders, manage and incorporate feedback
  • Ability to use own initiative and problemsolve
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and manage own workload effectively
**Key Knowledge and Expertise: - Expertise in using the following software: Premier Pro, After Effects,

Audition

  • Expertise in using industrystandard digital video, audio, and lighting
equipment

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with kit or
software

  • Good knowledge of video marketing best practice

Knowledge and Experience:

**Experience: **- Experience of advising clients on video marketing best practice

  • Experience of taking still photographs
  • Demonstrable experience of directing the work of other video content

  • Experience of uploading and promoting video content on social media
platforms
