Applications are welcomed for a consultant post in Otolaryngology in a trust with a wide case mix in a spectacular part of the UK.

The successful applicant will join a team of dedicated ENT surgeons working in harmony to provide excellent patient care. Areas of special interests will be welcomed, particularly head & neck & otology.

On call duties will be 1 in 5 on call. There is the expectation of attendance at the monthly ENT meetings incorporating governance, morbidity and mortality and education.

This is a replacement post, as the result of the planned retirement of one of our senior surgeons.

We are a highly motivated and cohesive team dedicated to providing an excellent service for our patients. We have a well-developed TNO service and have recently started transnasal laryngeal biopsies in OPD. The programme of support for each individual doctor will be flexible depending on his/her particular needs and experience.

We have a strong emphasis on training and have received a national awards in recognition of this.

We have a strong commitment to support, mentorship and development of all of our staff and have regular multidisciplinary meetings.

Due to our location we have a number of services not normally found in hospitals of our size.

We have an excellent unit that, despite being in a beautifully rural part of the UK, still regularly does major head & neck cases, including free flap surgery.
