Job Description:


This is an exciting opportunity for a your first step into industry and contribute to Abcam's Antibody Product Portfolio expansion.

This role will be part of the Characterisation Team which is part of the Antibody Validation and Characterization Group holding a key function in the validation and characterization of new antibodies and lots of existing products ensuring functionality for our customers.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Experimental execution of Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Dotblot and ELISA assays.
  • ECL and Lycor systems.
  • Gel imaging for fluorescence and chemiluminescence using GBOX and Odyssey
  • Preparation of cell lysates for WB and IP, including specific treatments when required (e.g. phosphatase treatment for validation of phosphospecific antibodies)
  • Accurately recording experimental details in Lab notebooks or the Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR) system.
