Job Summary
Housekeeping / Catering Assiatant role
To provide highest quality cleaning and assist in the Catering/Kitchen Services.
To have integrity, honesty and patience, To have a respectful and pleasant manner, To have an excellent standard of personal hygiene To have an understanding of the needs of the elderly in a nursing setting To have an even temperament To have an ability to work as a member of the caring team To have an ability to treat residents/patients as individuals and accept/respect their likes and dislikes.
Responsibilities and Duties
To clean & tidy toilets, bathrooms, bedrooms, corridors ,sitting rooms, offices, treatment rooms, etc. To clean & tidy basement, laundry area. To buff floors. To take rubbish to bins. To ensure safe storage of all cleaning materials and equipment.
To carry out deep cleaning of units according to prescribed schedule, also to work in the Laundry as required and to carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the management of the Home, which is necessary for the support and well-being of the patients.
To provide cover in the kitchen.- To provide an efficient and effective service to patients/residents, understanding their needs and requirements.
- To take responsibility for own work area, ensuring it is maintained in line with current Health & Safety legislation and all relevant policy.
- To demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic, committed and flexible attitude towards patients/residents and other staff members, recognising the importance and benefits of effective team working.

Qualifications and Skills
Previous experience would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided.
Salary:
£10.25-£10.45 per hour
