**We have great opportunities for 3 Health Care Assistants to join our well established team in Acute Medical Receiving based in University Hospital Hairmyres.

Job Purpose.

Duties may vary with the type of ward/department and degree of patient dependency

Knowledge, Training and/or Experience Required For This Role;

  • SVQ11 in Health Care or working towards or equivalent experience working within a care environment/ role.
  • Previous patient contact and care in acute or equivalent setting.
  • Knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer or work experience in a health, education or social environment.
  • Required to undertake on the job training and induction
  • Undertake mandatory HCSW standards
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment.
  • NHSL rotational contract Ability to work a variety of shifts.
