The Quality & Compliance Consultant operates as a trusted advisor, partnering with the business teams in Kantar Insights UK, Operations and beyond.

The role is responsible for supporting and enabling ongoing compliance with the Standards as well as with legal and regulatory requirements.

This includes data protection laws locally and globally such as the 2018 Data Protection Act and GDPR as well as the Market Research Society (MRS) Code of Conduct/European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research (ESOMAR) Code of Conduct) and internal Kantar compliance frameworks such as the Kantar Data Protection Framework.


Alongside compliance support responsibilities, the role may also be required to perform additional tasks relating to strategy delivery, such as contributing to the development, improvement and maintenance of Quality & Information Security Management Systems and promoting a quality & Information security culture across the UK Insights business and beyond.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the wider business to develop, maintain and improve processes and procedures to meet compliance with Kantar's existing certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and ISO 20252 in the UK.
  • Adds to the development, improvement and maintenance of Quality & Information Security Management Systems and controls process.
  • Promotes a culture of continual improvement for compliance and risk mitigation through implementation of business processes and procedures.
  • Ensures that processes and procedures are appropriately published, communicated, reviewed, and maintained.
  • Promotes a quality & Information security culture across the UK Insights business and beyond.
  • In collaboration with the senior Quality & Compliance Consultant, designs, develops and delivers Quality and Information Security training, ensuring it is engaging, impactful and effective.
  • Conducts Quality and Information Security internal audits within Kantar Insights, and where relevant of Partners or Suppliers, preparing audit reports
  • Supports the management of external audits, including liaison with the external audit body before, during and after the audit.
  • Acts as Data Protection Champion for Insights UK. Supports DPIA creation and privacy policy review.
  • Networks with other teams globally and across divisions where appropriate, building relationships and sharing knowledge and expertise.
  • Stays abreast of industry trends, legislation, ISO revisions etc.
The skills & experience you'll need.

  • Knowledge and experience of leading ISO Standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 27001 & ISO and data protection frameworks.
  • A sound understanding of Quality, Information Security, Risk Management and Data Protection laws (regulatory, legal etc.) within a regulatory environment.
  • Market research industry / knowledge and experience of ISO 20252 is an advantage.
  • Background in auditing for ISO Standards. Ability to develop a detailed understanding of how ISO standards implementation and audit works with some background in quality and information security management system.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, trusted advisor with ability to communicate and negotiate with partners at all levels, and influence and persuade others.
  • Confident, articulate, capable presenter in front of mixed groups, including senior people. Able to simplify and communicate complex information effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively with business teams on the ground, coaching and supporting them to maintain continued compliance against a backdrop of change and transformation.
  • Proactive and able to perform effectively and independently, with some project management knowledge.
  • Superb attention to detail and accuracy and cando attitude.
  • A real champion of driving change and improvement in the business with drive, determination, energy and ability to see things through to successful completion.
  • Excellent change management skills with a flexible attitude to prioritise workload.
