The College has the following temporary vacancy:

Communication Support Worker (BSL - L3)
The main purpose of the job role is to provide communication support to deaf learners in the classroom.

The role includes using a range of communication strategies such as translating spoken English into British Sign Language (BSL) and note-taking.

In addition, the role also includes:

Supporting learners with a hearing impairment on a 1:1 or small group basis outside of class, assisting with study skills
Raising deaf awareness around college
Leading CPD sessions
Assisting with transition of new students

Contract:
Temporary

Term time only (39 weeks)
Salary Scale Point: Currently FTE £24,917 £27,189) p/a, pro rata, depending on experience
Hours: 2025 hours per week
