Responsibilities:

Work with Front Office Traders and investment professionals to culminate business requirements
Solve real time trading issues and make suitable judgement calls on operational risk
Help with deployment, checkout and QA testing of connectivity with counterparties
Manage connectivity to the street whilst working closely with brokers to certify new sessions and troubleshoot live trading issues with brokers
Work in conjunction with backoffice teams to remedy issues related to security setup, trade booking, corporate actions, price breaks and bookkeeping entries.

Requirements:

510 years of work experience in a relevant area
Bachelors Degree (or above) in Engineering or Computer Science or a related field
Knowledge of trading and / or risk systems
Experience with Unix, Linux
Experience onboarding and certifying new connections to counterparties
Knowledge of working with parsing exchange provided security information
Proficiency in shell scripting language
Knowledge of FIX and binary protocols
Experience with databases such as Sybase or SQL
Understanding of trading workflows
DMA, Algo, SOR
Ability to communicate with technical and nontechnical colleagues alike (written and verbal)
Passionate about solving investment business problems using technology and fundamentals
Proficient context switcher in fastpaced, mission critical environments
Detailoriented approach to solving problems
Strong work ethic
