The salary for this role is £26,569 per annum for 36 hours per week (pro-rata for part-time staff)

About the role

Are you interested in joining the North West Finance Team who are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their busy and supportive team? This role is integral to the delivery of services across Surrey.


The role of a
Finance Assistant involves working as part of a team providing financial support to ensure the efficient operation of an area Finance Team, to ensure it meets the needs of people who use the service and their Carers.

The role provides opportunity to shadow senior staff with a view to progressing your career.


This key role involves processing invoices and payments for services, to ensure accurate and timely payment to suppliers, providers, and people who use services.

You will also support the team to prepare and reconcile monthly finance returns.

You will be responsible for processing and reconciling payments to clients to enable them to purchase their own care via a Direct Payment, as well as managing payments in accordance with corporate and service policies and procedures.


  • Minimum AAT level 4 or an equivalent apprenticeship qualification or be willing to study for an equivalent diploma or qualification, this will be essential
  • Your communication skills and ability to work as part of a team to ensure accurate and timely financial information
  • Your experience of working with and interpreting financial data & interpreting it with your through your problem solving and analytical skills
  • General administration such as monitoring of mailboxes, following up queries, filing and providing customer service/cover for the team
