£24 an hour, umbrella

Key Responsibilities:

To assist the Repairs Manager in the general day to day operational activities of the trade

team which you are assigned to.

This would include assisting in the management, direction, and planning of the trade team

work portfolio, in close cooperation with the Repairs Manager and Planner.

investigations as directed, meeting with residents, housing officers and the technical

team to provide support and assistance.

Assist in the identification and specification of complex repairs, liaising with technical

Services and the Commissioning team on larger multi trade works.

Provide technical/logístical advice and assistance to the RMS administrative team,

LB Newham housing officers and Repairs Call Centre.

Carry out H&S site inspections on a regular basis providing audit reports to the RMS H&S manager.

Experience & Qualifications:

SMSTS or similar would be desirable
An understanding of the provision of a customer orientated repairs and maintenance service.
Thorough knowledge of Health & Safety at work legislation.
A sound building construction/repairs background is essential, particularly within a social housing environment.
Significant supervisory experience of a team of staff/operatives. Also demonstrating an ability to lead, manage, develop, and motivate staff and operatives
