Highfield are working with a reputable client who have a new opportunity for a Technical Coordinator to join their busy Water Team in Kent.

As the Technical Coordinator, you will work closely with Field Performance Managers to support Health & Safety, WaterQuality, Environmental and Quality of Operation.


You will report directly into the Operations Manager and work on a number of Water/Wastewater sites across the Kent region.


Hours: 37 hours a week plus a 1 in 9 standby rota


Salary:
£35,000 p.a. plus additional standby and callout payments


Job role:


  • Responsible for the effective running of the team in absence of the Field Performance Manager as they will delegate requirements.
  • Work on a range of diverse activities across a number of sites with a wide range of contractors and staff.
  • Undertake site audits to ensure site cleanliness, site safety environmental management and maintenance tasks are consistently undertaken and meet compliance standards.
  • Manage spot audits by regulators and liaise effectively with them and associated governing bodies.
  • Travel to various sites and reside close enough for a standby arrangement every 9 weeks.
  • Previous experience within Utilities, ideally Water.
  • Strong technical and operational background with a clear drive for continuous improvement.
  • Keen team player, assisting Field Performance Managers to deliver work or by stepping in to help coordinate or support the team to address health and safety risks in the Medway area.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with contractors, ensuring work is delivered safely and to budget and is compliant with regulations.
  • EUSR card and experience with ISO9001.


This role will be full time Monday to Friday with a hybrid approach to working between the Burnham office, site and home.

Working hours are circa 8-4.30pm. There is a standby rota 1 out of 9.
