About The Role:

We are now recruiting for a Security Team Leader to join our Facilities Team. The role is based in our Hereford Office.

As a Security Team Leader, you will be reporting to Head of Facilities Management & Estates.

You will join and lead a friendly, dedicated, and professional team responsible for securing the whole allpay site to the highest standard and in line with PCI DSS requirements.


You and your Team will be the first point of contact for visitors, external suppliers, or contractors to allpay Limited providing excellent customer service and dealing with enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.


As a Security Team Leader you will be responsible for the efficient use of the allpay access control system, which includes a whole array of features such as: CCTV Video Management, Vehicle License Plate Recognition, Alarm Management, Time and Attendance, Evacuation Roll Calls, Graphical Display and Global Reflexes.


Your will have knowledge of corporate physical protection and administration systems, but training on how to operate our internal allpay systems will be provided.

As a Security Team Leader, some of your key duties will include:

  • Leading your team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of the security and visitor management services across site.
  • Line managing your team members through regular coaching, mentoring, and feedback, to ensure the right standards are met. You will also oversee appropriate training so that team members are skilled in all areas of their role and have further learning and development opportunities.
  • Assisting the Head of Facilities Management & Estates in security planning to achieve business goals and meet regulatory and Standards compliance requirements.
  • Developing and retaining a clear understanding of the PCI DSS requirements, implementing appropriate operational activities and agreed changes that are necessary.
  • Assisting in creating and implementing required policies, procedures, and work instructions to meet identified regulatory compliance needs.
  • Undertaking internal security audits, investigating issues as they are identified, providing feedback and support to put this right.
  • Liaising with external bodies, where required, to include the Emergency Services, external contractors responsible for the maintenance of the access control system and CCTV cameras and Alarm Monitoring Companies and/or auditors.
  • Responding to fire and intruder alarm activations or reports of criminal activity and investigate disturbances.

Some of your additional duties will include:

  • Providing ad hoc out of hours response and support, including during company events, and for the Carriages Restaurant evenings.
  • Undertaking and maintaining First Aid, Fire Marshal, and Defib Operator qualifications.
  • Becoming a competent user of the allpay intruder and fire alarm systems, and act as a key holder for the Company.
  • Flexibility for 24/7 working in future.

About You:

  • Have agility to be able to make consistent and sound decisions under pressure, effectively manage your workload, and be ready to respond to unexpected situations.

In addition, you will evidence that you have:

  • GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent).
  • Relevant background and skills, and appropriate qualifications and memberships relevant to the role, preferably trained to licenced SIA level.
  • Ideally you will have Level 3 or above qualification in Line Management and/or Security Management. Having IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualification will be an advantage.
  • Excellent customer care awareness and ability to deal with the public.
  • Knowledge of CCTV systems, and associated legislation.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office and IT skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both orally and in writing.
