Role Description
Production Operator (Case Packer)
Job Purpose
To perform those operational tasks in which the jobholder has been trained necessary for the efficient running of the site's production operations in accordance with the production plan.

Principal Accountabilities
Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and codes of practice.
- Adhere to the sites personal hygiene standards and practices particularly those concerning workwear and personal protective equipment.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene and housekeeping.
- To be competent in all the mandatory elements of the role for the production area / production line in which the jobholder works.
- Through training and competency checks, take responsibility for additional tasks as the jobholders ability allows.
- Work in production, warehouse or goods in / out to achieve agreed efficiency targets assisting with the preparation, filling, labelling, packaging and palletisation and movement of product.
- Watch for and report to the supervisor any defective raw materials or substandard product, paying particular attention to damaged bottles, jars or cans labels and caps; badly printed in jet information and substandard cases or outer packaging.
- Have an understanding of HACCP principles and the company's HACCP plan.
- Completion of health and safety, quality and production related documentation as required.
- Ensure all activities and working practices are undertaken in a safe manner and ensure no one is injured as a result of either their acts or omissions.
- Look for any opportunities to improve the performance of the production line or operation on which they are working and bring these to the attention of the Supervisor or Manager.
- Be fully involved with any Autonomous Maintenance activities that take place on the line on which they are working.
- Provide constructive input to any continuous improvement teams that they are asked to take part in.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
Good standard of general education - literate and numerate to the Company's
- skills assessment level as a minimum
- Reliable and punctual.
- Experience of team working.
- Able to take and follow instructions from a local supervisor.
- Competent in the mandatory elements of the role for the production area / production line in which the jobholder works and additional tasks as the jobholders ability allows.
Desirable
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
