About The Role:


Overall Purpose of the Role


To create and maintain a quality standard on the Contract site, in order that the Agreed Specification / Service Level Agreement and any other UAL Policies and Procedures are carried out and adhered to.

Ensure excellent personal appearance and hygiene, including uniform are of the highest standard at all times in line with our company policies.

To provide UAL Staff, Students, Visitors and Contractors a safe & friendly environment to work.

To prevent unauthorised entry of persons not permitted on site and prevent unauthorised removal of equipment by protecting the Trust assets.


Health & Safety Purpose:

To take a direct interest in the Health and Safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your work activities.


Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role

  • Ensure you have full knowledge of the sites assignments instructions which must be adhered to at all times.
  • Point of contact for all UAL staff, students, visitors and contractors who come to site.
  • Ensure all staff and students make visible their ID cards.
  • Complete frequent and random overt security patrols as identified within the Assignment Instructions.
  • Complete all other duties as defined within the assignment instructions.
  • Complete a thorough DOB whilst on duty and raise any incidents reports as required.
  • Maintain excellent Customer Service at all times.
  • Be vigilant at all times
  • Provide cover for Reception at client the request, as part of added value.
  • Ensure all emergency alarms are responded to as highlighted in the assignment instructions.
  • Enforce Trust no smoking policy on site

Health & Safety Duties

  • Participate in any communication activities through formal and informal channels on safety matters to ensure that there is a free flow of ideas.
  • Ensure that the OCS safety image is reflected positively through your actions
  • Ensure that you have received the necessary training so that you can competently carry out your duties and responsibilities. Acknowledge and accept a personal responsibility for safety.
  • Take responsibility for reviewing the safe system of work and risk assessment prior to the commencement of the work activity. These are located within the assignment instructions.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that any equipment and PPE is maintained and fit for purpose.
  • Raise any concerns to your Supervisor including any Health & Safety breaches in accordance with Company Procedure.

Details of the Role


To maintain an excellent level of security cover as defined within the assignment instructions and to effectively respond to reports of any on site incidents.


Provide efficient security measures for the protection of:

  • The student, staff and visitors to its premises, against identified security risks.
  • The UAL's physical assets from theft, damage or any other identified security risks.
Deter potential offenders from committing a crime.

Deny the opportunity for potential offenders to commit a crime and manage potential situations to reduce the risk of crime occurring.


Critical Performance Measures (CPMs) / Objectives

  • To ensure patrols are targeted to prevent and detect crime
  • To ensure daily reports and specific incident reports are completed and logged in the DOB during shift and any incidents are passed to the Mobile Operations Supervisor for investigation/further action, or escalation to the Patient Services Security Manager as required.
  • To ensure an acceptable standard of personal appearance at all times, and to further portray the correct image to the company, the client, and users of the facility.
  • To communicate effectively with all UAL personnel and to be positive, polite and have a proactive nature.
  • To attend all relevant training as required for the role
  • To attend any meetings with the team as required.

Educational Level
To have completed secondary education with sound knowledge of MS Office products.


Professional Qualifications
Security Industry Authority Licence & First Aid Certificate.


Experience
Previous experience within the Security Industry is desirable.

  • Ability to follow policy and procedures
  • Willingness to bring concerns to corporate attention via prescribed channels
  • Must have door supervisor licence
