About the Role


Due to expansion and growth we have an excellent opportunity for a Company Secretarial Assistant to join Crowe UK LLP within our Global Business Solutions department based at either our Cheltenham or Bristol office.

Both offices offer agile working and part-time hours would be considered for this role.


Working within the Compliance team and reporting to a Senior Manager, the remit of the role is helping to ensure that all international company secretarial filings are prepared and filed on a timely basis and appropriate records are maintained for our GBS client portfolio.

This covers our US client base who have either full subsidiaries, branches or permanent establishments overseas, across 30+ different countries on a global basis.


The role will give you access to an interesting range of US tech start-ups and their senior management team, as well as their international operations.


  • Assisting with company secretarial tasks for an international client portfolio comprising of US startups
  • Update and maintain a database of client company records for all our clients' UK and international entities
  • Assist with preparing and filing confirmation statements and annual returns
  • Process changes to company information with the local registrars, including organising the correct signatures, notarisations, apostille and translations as required
  • Assist with collating information required to set up new entities and to close entities
  • Working with the internal compliance team and management accounts teams as required to provide information for Statutory fillings and audits
  • Maintain client records on the firm's M-Files system and share documents with clients via our secure file sharing platform, Egress
  • Liaising with clients and third parties (locally and on an international basis)
  • Dealing with AD HOC queries and using their initiative in different situations
  • Delivering all work to set deadlines

Required attributes

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with 12 years relevant work experience
  • An accountancy practice or legal background would be an advantage
  • Experience working for an international organisation would be a distinct advantage
  • A selfstarter who is able to come in and quickly take ownership of the role
  • Highly organised and able to thrive/work well under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent client service and communication skills
  • A team player
  • IT skills good understanding of Excel, Word, Microsoft etc.
