Description

Science Solutions are recruiting on the behalf of a leading paints manufacturer for a Development Chemist to join a global market leader in coil coatings in Merseyside on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

As a Development Chemist, you will be formulating newand existing coatings, in a company that is focused on developing sustainable coatings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake laboratory work independently and as part of a team, adhering to 5S practices to keep a safe and clean working environment
  • Formulating paints and harmonising formulations across products.
  • Undertaking practical laboratory work, such as colour matching, evaluating raw materials, and conducting physical and chemical testing on various paints.
  • Assisting in small scale paint manufacturing.
  • Maintaining excellent records of work and attending internal meetings with the production department regarding formulations.
Knowledge and Experience

  • Confident in using IT systems, especially Microsoft Office.
