System Specialist- Biomass and Generation - London, United Kingdom - Heathrow
Description
Your role will involve:
- Responsible for systems based assets to continually improve a specific group of assets and system performance by investigating faults or poor performing assets and recommend appropriate changes
- Ensuring systems perform at optimum levels against design standard and criteria, effectively documented and communicated to system operators and maintainers any changes that are made
- Adhere to procedures and proactively spot hazards to reduce risk and ensure a safe working environment, while always playing an active part of driving a positive health and safety culture for all
- Accurately capture maintenance history (work orders, spares, and all required information) and update other records to meet business, regulatory and statutory requirements. Always ensure that documentation related to a specific asset group is updated and fit to purpose
- Ascertain trends with a view to find root cause: eliminate failure modes, reduce time between failures, improve asset availability, escalate any issue. You will be utilising new technology support the business driving efficiency and continuous improvement
- Keeping up to date with industry best practice and leading implementation into business, adhere to procedures and proactively spot hazards to reduce risk and ensure a safe working environment for all
These skills are essential:
- City and Guilds or ONC/HNC appropriate Engineering discipline
- Technician apprenticeship scheme or equivalent
- Full and assessed knowledge of any relevant National or HAL regulations or standards
- Completion of relevant & related skills training
- Ability to obtain and maintain airside licences and permits
Ideally, you'll also have:
- Full UK driving licence is desirable
