Salary:
£38,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience
Location:
Hybrid, with a minimum of 1 day in the Bournemouth Office, 4 days working from home.
We offer flexibility in this regard but there may be a requirement to attend the office on certain days for operational reasons.
Hours: 36.5 hours a weekWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and effective Management Accountant to join our Finance team.
This role is about supporting the Financial Controller in the preparation and issue of the monthly management accounts and board pack and providing support to the rest of the team when required.
This includes month end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and revenue reporting generated from the analysis of fundingreports issued by the Education & Skills Funding Agency ("ESFA").
Analysis and investigation of variances to budget, forecasts and trends including detailed cost analysis is required.The role will prepare the quarterly VAT Return including partial recovery calculations.
It also assists with the annual audit and preparation of the statutory accounts, supports the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts and aids the developmentof Finance systems.
This role is line manager to the Payroll Officer and reviews and supports reconciliation of the payroll prior to submission for authorisation.
We're looking for an individual who is experienced in the production of management accounts, has advanced Excel skills, and has knowledge of payroll.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant CIMA, ACA, ACCA (finalists will be considered)
- Strong IT skills with advanced MS Excel skills, confident in manipulating existing spreadsheets & creating new reports
- Experience of accounting systems, with knowledge of MS Dynamics Great Plains
- Experience in the production of management accounts
- Experience of working within a finance team and managing colleagues
- Excellent communication skills, both written & oral with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
- A strong work ethic, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
