As a Tender Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the company's growth by managing the tender, contract and quotes process, ensuring compliance with all requirements, and maximizing our chances of winning contracts.

To compile and determine commercial and technical solutions for the more complex sales opportunities, from qualification through to implementation and to take ownership of report analysis and account performance reviews.

This is a key position that requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and a deep understanding of the tendering process.


Key Responsibilities:

Tender Preparation:


  • Research and identify relevant tender opportunities in the medical supplies sector.
  • Review tender documents thoroughly to understand client requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather necessary information and documentation for the tender submission.
  • Prepare and compile all required documents, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Build a pipeline of upcoming / future opportunities

Compliance and Risk Assessment:


  • Ensure that all tender submissions comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with specific tenders and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to review contracts and agreements.

Cost Estimation:


  • Work closely with the corporate and commercial team to develop accurate cost estimates and pricing strategies.
  • Analyse pricing models and competitor bids to determine competitive pricing.

4.0 Submission Management:


  • Manage the tender submission process from start to finish, including coordination, assembly, project management and timely delivery of all required documents.
  • Maintain a central repository for all tenderrelated documents and data.
  • Complete and submit all tenders, quotations and contracts in accordance with company policy

5.0 Relationship Building:


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Attend pretender meetings and engage in negotiations with clients as necessary.
  • Timely and clear communication with internal teams on any developments
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of past tenders to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement best practices and process enhancements to increase the success rate of tender submissions.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience of delivering complex procurement projects.
  • Proven experience in tender management.
  • Strong understanding of tendering procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tender management software.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Detailoriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
