Our Smart Repair and Wheel Centre in Swindon is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Workshop Controller to lead our team in their daily tasks.

This is a great opportunity to join our team and work in the fantastic facilities at the Dick Lovett.

Our successful Workshop Controller will distribute work to our Bodyshop Technicians to ensure the smooth running of the workshop.

The Workshop Controller will also work with the front of house team to ensure that customers have all the information they need while their car is with us.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess technical or bodywork requirements on each vehicle
  • Plan the workload to maximise efficiency and adhere to deadlines
  • Communicate effectively and give accurate technical information to the Bodyshop
  • Oversee cars through the Bodyshop process and quality check the work
  • Take ownership of the workload and know what stage each vehicle is at any given time
  • Audit, health and safety, and compliance responsibilities are part of this role

A full UK Driving Licence is essential for this role.


We need someone with the ability to work in a high-pressured environment who has fantastic leadership skills that can drive the team forward to success.

You should strive for operational excellence and have a strategic mind-set, whilst ensuring that the customer always comes first.


The quality of work delivered is of paramount importance and you will be responsible for ensuring that there is a first-time fix for every repair.
