Job Title:

Location:

Salary:
Up to £65,000 depending on skills and experience


What you'll be doing:


  • Working on a project delivery team; supporting the lowlevel virtualisation design and implementation aspects for the Naval Ships product deliveries
  • Liaising with key stakeholders in the customer and Technical Authority community to establish, understand, and deliver against the product requirements
  • Proposing solutions to complex technical issues and seeing them through from design to implementation and testing
  • Supporting the functionality delivered in production, discovering issues, and resolving them before the business is impacted
  • Helping to define and promote understanding of virtualisation technologies across the product team

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • Knowledge of industryleading virtualisation products and ability to understand their relative merits and applicability to the task
  • Established exposure to VMware vSphere, vCenter Server and associated technologies and tools
  • Experience of being in a project delivery team
Desirable

  • Experience of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure technologies and the problems that arise with the implementation and deployment of such, in particular VMware HorizonView
  • Experience of design document creation and system level details capture
  • Experience of SAN and Networking technology

The Shared Infrastructure Project Delivery Team:

You will work in the Shared Infrastructure Area to support the complete lifecycle of a project delivery from initial requirements, architecting and implementation, testing and delivery of virtualisation aspects across Combat Systems equipment products.

This role will offer you support in achieving Chartership status whilst also providing you with career development opportunities.
