The successful applicant will support the imaging department in particular Interventional Radiology Theatres at the QMC campus, the position may require that on occasions you work at the City campus.
You will liaise with the nurses, radiographers and other patient transfer staff to ensure patients' needs and welfare are attended to.
You will assist the department by preparing the patient for imaging.A large part of this post will involve manual handling, including the transfer of patients on beds, trolleys and wheelchairs.
You need to be computer literate.All training for this role will be provided within NUH. This post will be predominantly weekday days with occasional additional work out of hours as required by the service.
The successful applicant needs to be approachable and enthusiastic about this role. You will need to be able to cope emotionally and physically with working with patients.
Main duties of the job
Transfer of patients to and from the wards to the radiology department. Communicate with patients and staff to ensure a smooth transition of transfers. Provide a friendly face to patients as radiology's first point of contact. Undertake other movement transfer of waste and equipment.

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
