My client is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their top 100 national law firm in London.
Responsible to the Financial Controller, the job will be split equally between a purchase ledger role and a billing role.
The billing role comprises the receipt of billing instructions from fee earners, and the composition and posting of bills to the Elite 3e accounting system in accordance with the firm's billing procedures.
The purchase ledger role will include the posting of overheads and disbursement invoices to the 3e system, and the subsequent payment of those invoices.
Job responsibilities:
- Assist with the overhead and disbursement purchase ledger;
- Expenses and credit card postings as required;
- Preparation and posting of fee notes for all departments;
- File closures and write off of irrecoverable wip and disbursements;
- Carry out reconciliations at time of final billing;
- Occasional Cashiering assistance;
- Other duties as delegated from time to time by the Financial Controller
Job skills
- Experience of billing and purchase ledger
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages and other relevant IT systems
- High standard of numeracy, precise and accurate with attention to detail
