We have an exciting opportunity within our Head Office in Worcester for an '
Accounts Administrator'.

The role is to provide a professional and efficient service to the finance function, monitoring how much is always owed and providing accurate financial information to the Financial Controller as needed.


Reporting to the Financial Controller/Management Accountant, you will be fully accountable for the whole purchase ledger process, from purchase orders through to invoices and reconciliation.

You will provide an indispensable service to the finance team, underpinning the wider financial stability of the business through your robust processes and systems.


The main duties will include matching and coding invoices, preparing and running Faster Pay payments, reconciling supplier statements and working out VAT payments and prepare and post transactions for the bank reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the reconciliation of the bank account weekly to ensure accurate records.
  • Balance cashbook, general ledger and bank reconciliation on a weekly basis.
  • Reconcile card transactions and post to ledger
  • Liaise with the Management Accounts team to support the month end accounting process
  • Matching, checking and coding invoices
  • Being first point of contact for all relevant enquiries
  • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements

Requirements:


  • Previous bank reconciliation experience is essential
  • Knowledge of software packages such as SAGE and Banking Software
  • Demonstrable experience of working in an office environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experienced administrator with knowledge of Microsoft office packages
  • Team working skills
  • Organisational skills with ability to process high volumes of information and maintain high accuracy
