Description

Join the Kirton Primary School team as an Apprentice Teaching Assistant and train alongside professional staff to qualify as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant.

This post is for 27.5 hours per week.


Apprentice Teaching Assistant

Apprenticeship level:
Advanced, Level 3

Hourly wage


Working week
Monday to Friday term time only to cover the school day plus up to ten twilight sessions a year.

Released one day a week to attend college.


_Duties to include:
_

  • Working with individual children having special or particular needs, in accordance with the child's EHCP where appropriate.
  • Working with groups of children as directed by the teacher.
  • Providing support to the teacher across a range of child centred activities to promote child development and learning.
  • Following and implementing the school's behaviour policy and any related policies and procedures.
  • Assisting in classroom preparation.
  • Maintaining and respecting confidentiality.
  • Attending team meetings and training when required.
  • Attending college when required and keeping up to date with coursework.
