Simpson Judge are excited to be working on behalf of one of Lancashire's leading businesses for an Executive Assistant.

This role will be instrumental in providing the necessary assistant to enable strategic change and business growth and support the Head of Development.

Typical contribution for this role includes providing essential daily support to the Head of Development by making arrangements and managing diaries in an accurate and timely manner to drive business efficiencies.

You will contribute to maintaining a positive atmosphere within the department to support proactive change within the business.

You will also filter and attend to the day-to-day functions that are part of the HoD role so that they can focus on the high-level leadership and strategy functions.


Key Duties:

  • Act as the key focal point for the department in the absence of the Head of Development.
  • Accurate collation and distribution of data/reports on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring deadlines are adhered.
  • Coordinate confidential biannual Board Packs.
  • Supporting the Executive Team with cross business coordination of professional presentation material for internal and external use, ensuring all content is accurate and fully brand compliant.
  • Ensuring all management expenses and those for their relevant reports are complete, meeting fixed deadlines each month.
  • Arranging and attending meetings where required including all associated requirements, i.e. taking minutes, agenda creation, assessing availability, arranging refreshments and travel.
  • Make travel arrangements as applicable, including rail, air, taxi and hotels.
  • Provide holiday cover for the other Executive Assistants.

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 5 years in an EA role within a large complex organisation or similar environment
  • Demonstrate experienced in working at Executive EA level and being able to communicate with senior members of staff and external stakeholders
  • Ability to plan and organise diaries, meetings and take formal minutes
  • Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines in a fastpaced office environment
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent practical experience in the use of the full suite of Microsoft office packages
