We are seeking a motivated Finance Apprentice to join our Professional Services Finance team, providing a comprehensive Finance service to five departments (collectively known as the Cluster).
The role is office based in the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, Addenbrooke's site and you will, during your 1.5-year apprenticeship, form a key part in the day-to-day processes of the Finance team working to provide timely, accurate and professional administrative support to Finance and a wide range of different areas and projects that impact the Departments alongside studying the AAT Level 3 qualification.
You will learn on the job by working with an experienced professional service team and have allocation study time to complete course work.
You will be responsible for providing support to the Finance team to ensure the smooth running of Cluster finance processes, including cash management and procurement activities, as well as providing support with accounts payable and accounts receivable administration.
You will report to the Finance Manager and will be working closely with the professional services teams and wider University.
While accounts experience is not necessary, you must be willing to learn and put in the necessary work to gain the Level 3 accounting qualification.
A basic knowledge of accounts however is desirable.
Applicants should have a minimum of 4 GCSEs or the equivalent at Grade C/4 or above, including Maths, Science and English.
Applicants will be available for a start date in September to allow for the September enrolment with the learning provider, First Intuition.
